"We  are surrounded everyday by objects that we have relantionships,

 psychological  relationships," states Topolski. Each of the objects we 

 surround  ourshelves with,  carries a history and set of connections in 

 the same  way that people do"( AllenC.Topolski)

 For me photography the objects that I have been collecting its another way of preserving them, they are frozen in time.

 

Objects contain a narrative, one that speaks of loss

and longing. Material Culture ( Miller).

Objects  speak to us through the memories that they hold, more we know about 

them the louder they speak.

Kitchen utensils, Andre Kertesz.

Andre Kertesz, was an Hungarian photographer who emerged as one of

the most influential practioners of the medium also known for his lyrical 

and formally rigorous pictures of everyday life.

Paul Stand was an American artist who made significant contributions to the canon

of 20th century photography.

Judith Karasz 19-1977

Judith  Karasz was an Hungarian photographer interested in the mediums

ability to reveal the hidden structures of everyday subject matter whether 

parched soil or cotton wool, the physical nature of the subject is the most

focus. she felt that photography could make visible aspects of its subject

matter that could not been seen by eye alone.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Peter Keetman, Pipes 1958

Peter Keetman, was a German photographer, he photographed 

everyday objects, capturing the details and structures that the naked eye

can not see.

 

Mark Dion is an American conceptual artist best known

for his use of scientific presentation in installations.

Joseph Cornell, is best known for his "shadow boxes"

made from found materials and raw materials that are

constructed in such away as to illustrate narrative surreal,

even fantastical scences.

 I made these pieces in response to Joseph Cornell, shadow boxes.

I made a series of casts  from old tools, over a period of 1month.

Found traces on the pavements, inspired my  casting pieces.

Louise Nevelson was an American Sculptor known for her monumental, monochromatic, wooden assemblages contained in wooden 

frames her work was mainly made from found objects usually woodcuts 

or bits of furniture.

The assemblage process for me was a  quest for me to find a way to bring pieces together in a way that tells a new story, they are taken

apart and attached with other objects to create 3D sculpture giving them a new artistic

identity creating new narratives.
